Winemaker Dinner Series | Michael Cruse | Feb. 26
Join République and Wine Director Sam Rethmeier for our 2020 Winemaker Dinner Series! Each month, we will host a winemaker from various regions around the world, for a dinner at our Kitchen Table.
February winemaker feature: Michael Cruse of Cruse Wine Co.
2/26 at 6pm
République, 624 S. La Brea Ave.
$125 per person
République is excited to welcome Michael Cruse – 2016 San Francisco Chronicle Winemaker Of The Year – of Cruse Wine Co. Based out of Petaluma, CA, Cruse’s approach to winemaking reflects California rather than mimicking wines from Bordeaux or Burgundy. Here for the long haul and carving his own niche in the world of wine, Cruse’s varietals are incredibly approachable in their youth but with the potential to age for years. These wines are equally as sophisticated as they are drinkable, and have brought some new excitement to our home state.
Taking place at République on Wednesday, February 26, our team is pleased to host Cruse to interact with guests throughout the dinner. Chef Walter Manzke will present a 4 course menu, to be paired beautifully alongside:
- Cruse Wine Co. 2018 Valdiguie “Rancho Chimiles” Napa Valley, California
- Cruse Wine Co. 2017 Chardonnay “Rorick” Sierra Foothills, California
- Cruse Wine Co. 2018 Red Blend “Monkey Jacket“ California
- Cruse Wine Co. 2018 Carignan “Evangelho” Contra Costa, California
- Cruse Wine Co. 2017 Tannat “Alder Springs” Mendocino County, California
This is a ticked experience to be enjoyed communally among our wine lovers, taking place in the main dining room with views of our open-air kitchen. What’s sure to be a lively evening, join us for this dinner experience and a chance to learn more intimately about Cruse Wine Co.
Each ticket is $125, plus tax and service charge.
